Program: Sadako’s Wish for World Peace

 

Goal: To continue to journey towards peace and reconciliation by sharing the story of Sadako Sasaki.

 

Accomplishments:

• Virtual program to support the history of Pearl Harbor and path towards reconciliation, forgiveness and peace

• Educate local and mainland students about the message of peace through the story of Sadako and the folding of the paper crane

• Share the message of peace with senior citizens through read aloud and activities. Activities included remembrance lantern and origami paper crane
