Collaboration: Nazarbayev Intellectuals Schools in Kazakhstan

 

Program: International Youth Peace Week Movement in Kazakhstan

Goal: For 3 years in a row, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in Kazakhstan, holds the Youth Peace Week, the movement supporting young people in peace building and solving other global problems like climate change. Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, events were designed to be virtual via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Accomplishments:

• Sharing the meaning of peace as it relates to Hawaii's culture

• Peace programs designed by REAL Innovative Connections and how to support students in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools

• Global peace collaboration through peace education and cultural awareness
